The PS4 does not download updates in rest mode by default because the system is designed to conserve power and reduce wear and tear on the hardware. While in rest mode, the PS4 enters a low-power state where it can still perform background tasks such as charging controllers and syncing game saves, but it does not actively download updates to minimize power consumption. However, users can enable the option to allow the PS4 to download updates in rest mode by adjusting the system settings. **

Some people prefer light mode for its clean and minimalist look, while others prefer dark mode for its reduced eye strain and better readability in low-light environments. Ultimately, the choice between light mode and dark mode is subjective and depends on personal preference and the specific use case. **
