No, Machu Picchu was not built due to a global flood. Machu Picchu is an ancient Incan citadel located in the Andes Mountains of Peru, and it was constructed by the Inca Empire in the 15th century. The site was likely chosen for its strategic location and natural defenses, rather than being a response to a global flood. The theory of a global flood is not supported by historical or archaeological evidence related to the construction of Machu Picchu. **
